About the Blog:

Welcome to Another Sunny Day Reads! My name is Sunny, and I'm addicted to YA fiction. No, seriously. I can't get enough. I started reading YA when I was of age to be reading children's literature, and now at 21, I am still just as enthralled with the teenage experience. When I find a good book, I reread it ten times over and try to convince the teens I know to read it as well.
My summers are full of early rising, eating hotdogs and Popsicles, and reading out in the sunshine and by the pool. This summer, I want to take you along for the ride. I'll be reading and reviewing each book on Bitch Magazine's list of 100 Young Adult Books for the Feminist Reader. You don't have to be a feminist to enjoy these books; you only have to be a reader. If you're the type who likes to skip ahead, you can check the full list out here.
My favorite attribute of a good book is that, often, I begin reading it at the perfect time in my life. As though the Literary Goddesses know what book I need and they guide me to it. Summer 2012 will be about change, growth and having the time of our lives. As will the books we will read together. Most importantly, I want my reviews to inspire you to head to the library or bookstore and pick up these books!
Happy reading!

"Everyone can reach back to one summer and lay a finger to it, finding the exact point when everything changed. That summer was mine.”

More About Sunny:

I'm an avid reader and writer. My ultimate goal is to become a YA fiction writer and inspire teenagers to fall in love with and relate to the characters born in my imagination. I want to illustrate the adventures, stress, friends, and loves that teenagers have during some of the most pivotal years of their lives. I read as many books as I can to learn the most effective ways to tell my stories. I am currently pursuing a degree in English with a focus in Creative Writing. Beyond reading and writing, I spend my time hanging out with friends and family, shopping, exploring local parks and botanical gardens, discovering new music and going to discount movie theaters.
